SEBI Update – Increase in overall limit for overseas investment by AIFs and VCFs

SEBI has increased the overall limit for overseas investment by Alternate Investment Funds (AIFs) and Venture Capital Funds (VCFs).

 

• For making overseas investments, AIFs and VCFs were subject to an overall limit of USD 750 million. The said limit has now been increased to USD 1,500 million.

 

The aforementioned change was notified vide circular dated May 21, 2021 (available here).
